ADPR 4300 was an amazing learning experience into the social media marketing world and intrigued me greatly. For this class, learning about different social media tactics, overall communication plans for organizations, enhancing companies brand image’s, and looking at marketing on various platforms. I believe this class was extremely informative for marketing majors and corporate comm majors as well.

Professor Moyer taught us many social media strategies and her experience in the sports industry helped this class evolve a lot. Overall, I would definitely recommend this class for future students and loved participating in class discussions. Thanks for a great semester!

For this assignment, I chose to analyze the PR crisis that Nike endured in 2019 with Zion Williamson. For those who do not know, Zion Williamson was the biggest name in college basketball during the 2018–2019 season. In his freshman and only season with Duke, Williamson was named ACC Player…

With social media advertising, many different ads seem to gear me towards either products or certain brands. For this assignment, I tracked my social media usage from Friday (9/11) to Monday (9/14). After analyzing my diary, these are the observations that I found:

  • On a daily basis, the top three social media platforms I use are Snapchat, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • I like to use Instagram and Snapchat…

Some examples I feel that could be used as great content on your social media platform would have to be funny to me. Based on funny content being a major part of why I track social media all together, this would have to be my #1 engagement tactic personally. Other examples of great content to post for engagement would be entertaining, educational, and inspirational posts for audiences to see and read about. When posting something educational on social media, this usually appeals to the reader’s emotions and often times, their rationality as well. This is also connected with inspirational content, whether that be posting about failures or challenges you have faced on your journey. Overall I believe these examples are all great ways for boosting your audience and having attractive content on all platforms.
